Foam or Gel Chest Rolls (Parallel Thoracic or Chest Rolls)
Chest rolls, also known as operating room semicircular rolls, are essential operating room equipment used in various surgical procedures to enhance patient comfort and prevent injury to different body parts during surgery. These rolls can be used in all three positions: prone, supine, and lateral.

Chest rolls are placed under the chest and on both sides of the thorax, along the longitudinal axis of the body, and in the pelvic region. The primary purpose of using foam or gel chest rolls is to prevent abdominal compression during the prone position.

Note:

• The rolls must be positioned under the patient’s body in a way that avoids excessive pressure on the chest or armpit areas.
• To prevent injury to other body parts, particularly the face, appropriate cushions should be used simultaneously.

Applications of Foam or Gel Chest Rolls:

• Used under the chest in spinal surgeries (e.g., discectomy and laminectomy).
• In addition to the chest and pelvic areas, chest rolls can be used for other upper or lower body parts, such as under the lower back, knees, neck, or feet during surgery.

Dimensions of Chest Rolls:
Chest rolls are produced in various sizes suitable for different patients, from children to adults, and for various body parts.
Standard chest rolls come in three sizes—small, medium, and large—with approximate lengths of 20 cm, 30 cm, and 40 cm, respectively.
Custom-sized rolls can also be manufactured and provided based on customer preferences and orders.
